Dog health..?

My dog is 11 years old and she is a cross mix between a jack russel and a westie. Recently she has not been eating her dog food. She still drinks water and goes to have her buissness outside. She hasn't eaten anything for the last 3 days. She is always sleepy as well. We also think she has arthuritis in her back lags because she always walks slow and kind of limps. We always leave her food out if she ever deciedes she wants to eat. We have another dog an english bull terrier who likes to play. What is wrong with my dog? is she getting to old? She usually eats butchers canned dog meat. We also tried giving her dried food and we even tried giving her our left overs just as a try to see if she would eat anything.

1. my dog did this when he was in severe pain with a back problem time to see the vet hun,when theyre in bad pain they loose their appertite.
2. Have you had her teeth checked? What food do you offer her? If she eats dry food and has a dental problem, that could be your answer. Offer her some soft canned food and see if she responds. Either way, a trip to the vet is in order before she starts losing weight- trying to bring an elderly dog back to health is no picnic, so figure out what's wrong now before she slips too far!

4. Get her tae the vet as soon as possible. It might be nothing, but you should make sure. Would you leave your kid for any length of time without a diagnosis??? When my wee dog wiz alive, we would do anything for him.

6. There could be anything wrong with your dog and the only way you will find out is by getting her looked at by your vet. Not eating for 3 days is usually a sign something is wrong - any changes in appetite, and drinking, especially if she appears to be drinking a bit more than usual and weeing more than usual shows something is wrong. Try and encourage her to eat something of a good quality - not butchers or bakers - they are the worst dog foods ever and should be banned! Something like nature's harvest, james well beloved food, or try cooking her something like boiled chicken breast, plain rice, plain pasta and seeing if she will eat this. There are many things avaliable for dogs with arthritis from pain relief to joint supplements to ease the arthritis, so please ask your vet about this, it is not nice to be left with painful joints!! And at 11 years old, your dog is not as old as it could be - smaller breeds can live for up to 15-16 years if they are given the best healthcare - get your dog to a vet asap and get her checked out.
