- Try capstar. It's cheaper and it works within a few minutes.
- Many people are having a difficult time with Frontline and Frontline Plus. Be sure that you treated your home with a reliable product. Also be sure that you're not bathing any of your pets 3 days before or 3 days after application. Bathing rinses the oils from their skin not letting the product work effectively. If still no results you should try another flea product for them. Advantix for dogs, Advantage or Revolution for cats. Unfortunately Capstars only work for the live fleas on the animal and it only lasts for 24 hours. We use Capstars at the clinic I work at to treat patients with fleas while in the hospital. And send home topical with the client. Advantix is for dogs ONLY! (if you have cats in your household you need to apply it to the dog with out the cats having contact for about 8-10 hours) Advantix does fleas & ticks. Advantage is used for cats and treats ONLY fleas. Revolution is a fairly new product that treats fleas, intestinal parasites, earmites, and is kind of effective against ticks. If you're still not entirely sure about your flea situation contact your vet and ask what they recommend and explain your problem. Hopefully that helps.
