Dog Health : (? hey guys i have a poodle kind of dog and hes fairly old im not really good with dog health so i wanted to ask... hes been really sluggish lately and lazy and his nose is pretty much dry all the time... we feed him a lot of human food... so hes pretty chubby hes still the same to me just a little more lazier... when i wash him his rectum seems a little inflamed but i try to wash it now with soap and water... i dont know if i should take him to the vet or not i love him and i want him to live forever hahaha what do you guys think i should do? about his dry nose, lazy mood, and inflamed rectum

dog + health? My dog does not need as much excercise as she used to. She's inside from 7 a.m to 4:30 p.m and she used to need at least two hours, not continously, of walking before she would go to sleep at 8 p.m. Now all she needs is two thrity minute walks and she's ready for sleep. How do you bring a starving dog back to health? Ok, first off, our dog hasent been eating for about 2 weeks. We originally thought it was the other dogs eating her food, so we brought her into the house to eat, but she didnt. She started losing weight, and energy, almost immediately. They were going to put her down tomorrow, but I got her to eat. Now, being half educated, I know that when somethings starving, the last thing you do is feed it a whole bunch. So, how do I bring her back to health? Shes a full size poodle, and shes 15. Though she acted young, until recently. Do you feed her a little bit 5 times a day, or, medium amount 2 times, or, start off with a little bit frequently and increase. Or what?

My service dog and I got kicked out of the mental health? My chocolate lab retriever 10 years old Shae and I got kicked out of the mental health. All because she bark and growl at other service dog. My dog is never mean to people. She get along with my younger dog at home. But any other dogs she'll bark and growl. Dog health..? First, I am taking him to the vet tomorrow. It was as soon as I could get him in. He's been having horrible diarrhea for the past 3 or 4 days. I watch him outside and when it looks like he's going to poo, liquid just runs out. He is home alone during the day for about 6 hours at the most. He used to never have a problem with waiting until I got home to let him out. For the past 2 days though, he's gone in the basement, which is an absolute mess to clean up. Nothing in his diet has changed. He is a 13 year old poodle, and takes Rimadyl for arthritic hips. His appettite seems to be a little weak, I don't think he's eating as much as he usually does. He also has to go more frequently. He will wake my mother up between 2-3 times a night just to go out! He never used to do this! Anyone have any thoughts about what's going on with my baby? I'm not positive about his eating becuase we don't just give him 2 meals a day... he is a very responsible eater and so his dish always has food in it. There is also 3 people in the house that pour food in his dish- so keeping an eye on his food intake can be a little difficult. He also eats only dry food. Occassionally my mom will cook him an egg.

dog health question? I have a dalmatian who is very thin as compared to any other I have seen. she is not emaciated in any way, just very lean. We have never been too concerned as she has always gotten a clean bill of health at the vet and has LOTS of energy. there have been a couple times in the past 3 mos or so that she has vommited a large amount of kibble quite a while after she ate. we were slightly concerned but being as she acted completely normal after (had lots of energy, ate and drank fine, and has healthy BMs) we did not worry too much. We came to see my BFs mom who has 2 dogs. one of which got into must have gotten into something because he vomited it up. even though it was soon after he ate breakfast, all he vomited was the wraper and some stomach fluid, no kibble. this got me thinking that maybe my dog is not digesting her food properly and that is why she would vomit so much kibble even though she ate so long ago and also why she is so thin compared to other dalmatians...continued... I have a call into the vet but I have asked about her weight and they have never been concerned. they say she looks fine and his very healthy. any thoughts? she does eat very fast but the couple times that this happened, she didn't throw up until probably at least couple hours after she ate.

Dog health? How come doc#1 and #2? What is your opinion on this matter? I went to a vet and during a regular urine test, they said my dog had an urinary traction inf. They recommended putting my dog on Anti-b. Which I did. The medicine was making my dog to have side effects and then they suggested putting him on a different kind of medicine. I finally had it with the vet. Because I had this feeling that the doctor is incompetent. I switched to a different vet, and told the new vet what my doggie is going through. He did a urine test, and he did not see anything wrong with it. I am skeptical because how come Doc#1 was having all these problems and doc#2 simply did not see any signs of urine traction inf.? My dog is not in pain, he behaves normally. He is not crying, matter of fact he is very playful. In another words, I found my dog is not suffering, What do you think?

Dog Health Question , Springer Spaniel.? My Springer Spaniel was bit at the weekend by Rottweiler around the neck . As you all know Springer Spaniel are really nice dogs and my dog just went up to say hello and have play and this Rottweiler went right for my dogs neck and wouldnt let go . dog health care please answer!? im an eleven years old girl and my dog got really sick and i dont no what all is wrong but here are some things. -he ate Ol' Roy dog food got real sick -feet problems -side problems -ears -mouth PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T WANT TOO LOSE HIM

Dog Health #2? ok. I just posted this: I took my dog to the vet like 2 weeks ago for a vaccine (rabies). Yesterday I felt a small mass just before his knee. Could this be caused by the vaccine or should I be worried?. I know I have to take him to the vet. I just need to save some money. The mass is soft and it does not causes him any pain. What could it be? I forgot to tell you that soon after my dog received the vaccine he started to vomit and pooing with blood and had fever. I gave him a pill to kill parasites (don't know haw it is called). He is now ok. He stopped vomiting and the bloody poo. Could all this things be related?

vet dog health issues? hi i dont know if my dog has either color dilution alopecia where she is a blue chihuahua or if its fleas or if its a thyroid prob.I was wondering on thyroid because she is 10 months old but she is the only overweight of my dogs but she is losing some hair and she is the only one with like a flat back.

DIsgusting dog health question? NOW DO NOT get annoyed with me... I am calling the vet, but it's nice to know if anyone has heard of this. My dog is already on medication for intestinal parasites (a SMALL infestation, if you can call it that)... Anyways, when my dog is free to roam outside she poops a lot. A LOT... and it is a very small amount of a mucusy/poop colored substance. VERY SMALL amount, and she roams around the yard and keeps doing it, almost like she's marking her territory... If I keep her on lead and just tell her to "do her business" she will do it, not like this. It's only when she's off lead and is freely running around... it's very strange. I did just talk to the vet, and they said we will monitor her over the weekend and then Monday will get back in touch... keep her on her cottage cheese/white rice diet and her meds...

dog health question asap? ok well my 1 year old shih-tzu any ways i notice if you squeeze her nipple a clear jelly like substance comes out and i dont think she would be pregnant even though we have a boy dog (6 months) because she is not in heat what is this i sqeezed her nipple because i was rubbing her belly and felt the goo on my hand so the i looked and it was coming from her nipple so i sqeezed it and more came out

dog health, why? my dog had and injury where a stick sorta stabbed him and the arm on that side of his body was swollen and i felt it and it was the weirdest thing ever!! it felt like slime with air in it! like bubbles, but it had an unbelievable feeling. whyy??

Dog health Q? this is going to sound really weird but im really concerned so dont give be BS answers (most helpful gets BEST).......... so latley (about 2 months ago) my dog started farting like crazy(every hour ALL DAY) and these thing could knock you out cold(lol)....but i rally dont have the money to take her to the vet so does anybody have any suggestions (iv tryed swithing her food and shes on pedigree right now)

Dog health after spinal Tap? So my 9 month old dog had a spinal tap we thought was meningitis but now the spinal tap reveals red blood in the spine and his white blood cells have attacked the red because they are not supposed to be there. The vet says this was caused by a hemerige somewhere...after the spinal tap he was not breating on his own or able to move. After hours of the oxygen machine breathing for him...they pulled it out and he was breathing on his own. Then he started shifting himself to move around. He is very lethargic and seems to have no energy at all. We have him home and he is still shifting around but we must feed him by hand and water him the same way. He is on an IV and predisone right now. They think he will recover fully but seeing him is hard. Anyone have asimilar situation like this and what was the outcome? Any help or advice would be great!
